The Usher's Hand Manual
My week in a nutshell...

A) Working at the Rose Theatre is fun, because there are so many free shows I get to see but at other times...it is exhausting. Well, not exhausting per say. It's more of an headache thing. That and having a lot of free time with nothing that you can do at all.

It wasn't that bad this shift. There were the most adorable little kids singing and dancing. Two of them--3 and 4 years old--dressed up like lions and danced to the Lion King.

Other things that happened:

1) I became that lady. You know the one--when you were little and running around causing havoc and chaos, she was there. When you were trying to find something fun to do due to boredom, she magically popped up. When you were even considering touching the display, she was the one who grabbed your hands. She's the one who keeps the rules followed, everything in order, and the little kids bored and scared.

2) Luckily, there was that dad. The kind that yells before that lady and makes her appear to be the good guy.

3) This mean that only half of the kids cringed and ran away when they saw me. The other hallf managed to control their reactions and only walk away, smiling. The half that ran got yelled at by the guy in charge, which meant more for my half.

4) Kids are scary with their speed and hiding capablities. If they want to sneak out, they will find a way. When you are the only one in charge of a huge theatre and sitting in one corner, distracted by the dancing going on, it is very easy to not notice things. There were four kids in one corner, I take my eyes off for a second, and suddenly they were crawling all over the place. On kid climbing up the stairs closest to me, the other to the one furthest, another crawling between the seats, another by the door, and somehow they multipled into ten.

It was frightening.

5) The worst thing about trying to keep an eye out for trouble is that the boss comes in when there is too much trouble. The manager came like three-four times, but each time he appeared either there were too many kids doing things so I missed some or it was oddly peaceful and I was doing nothing.

I'm worried he thinks I'm a slacker. D:

6) Parents tend to ooh and awww a lot. Especially when it is their kid on stage and doing something aww-worthy. There was like a chorus of those sounds around me--in sync too. Very scary. However, then these parents would feed their kids inside the theatre, which isn't allowed, and increased my work. I ended up having to turn scary. Especially when the angry moms wanted to stay in and eat.

And that's enough for now. I might add more to this list of things that occur at the theatre. Oh, here's one.

8) It's a given that a show will either start late or end late. Most likely, both. When it does, this just means that when you promised your parents to be home by ten, you'll be home by eleven if you're lucky and if you're luckier, they won't be in a paticularly angry and vindictive mood.

I did see The Hunchback of Notre Dame, though. It was interesting--a fusion of an old black and white movie from the pre-sound era (they edited it a little so only the words they wanted came), dancers, and singers. There was a rock group that played some music and a cast that sang songs every now and then to add emotion--a gambit that worked very well after the first rough and boring start--and dancing to just make some spice. I liked it after the beginning. The singing and dancing finally had some purpose.

B) Another thing that happened was a friend's birthday party. It was fun but very interesting. Two of my guy friends, Pickle and Monster, ended up singing girl songs with these high pitched voices. Occasionally, their voices would crack because they had to put some effort to making that noise, but it was amazing. It was one of those Karoke games and they hit every pitch perfectly.

That scared me--when did they practice that?--and made me envious. They could sing better than me. D<

I ended up eating my lunch near a cactus--ow--and Monster had to sit in front of a large window. He kept thinking he would fall out. Of course, it didn't help everyone was plotting that while he was eating. He also made a call me sign to the guy from the building across and A-Cubed, his girlfriend, pushed him towards the cactus. Which made the cactus fall on me. D:

(And, uh, those pricks? They might be small but they hurt. Oh, do they hurt.)

AND I FINALLY PLAYED KH2 AGAIN. I played it once before and now...I MADE IT PAST THE FIRST PART. Kingdom of Hearts is amazing, I have to admit. I passed the whole Twlight part and made a sad face when Roxas disappeared into Sora. D: It was sad and I was worried I killed Axel for a moment.

I rather don't see why all my friends hate Riku. He doesn't seem that hate-worthy. Oh well.

The worst part about finishing that section was that I found out I made it to the opening. Yeah. All that hard work and me cringing everytime someone appeared, ready to fight, got me only to the beginning. Hopefully I can find away to play some more...^-^ I want to make it to the Lion King part, which is apparently really far away.

C) I'm working on another story, an original this time. I really like the idea I'm doing though I have no idea what to do with some of the characters. Actually, for that matter, I have no idea who some of the characters are. XD

I've also watched a few episodes of Gossip girl--I can't say I hate it because it amuses me how they think. I'm putting that and Hero's on the backburner--I'm intimadated by them. So many episodes, I wonder if I really should watch it all...
Instead, I'll be watching to Mei-chan no Shinjutsi or Mei-chan's butler. It's supposedly hilarious. I'll watch the first episode tomorrow...*is excited*
<strike>I'm contemplating watching Darker Than Black...</strike>

My computer, I've discovered, has some sort of Trojan Virus. I'll check again which one it is later. D: Anyways, I tried using anti-virus software, only to have my internet die. Now I got rid of it and my internet works, only I can't send emails. Isn't that strange?
And this is my first virus too...D:

I LOVE kids. Heh. Just not spoiled bratty ones.

And I know. My parents and all parents I know do that ooh and aww thing a lot, too, when kids do something cute. It's kinda hilarious. :p

P.S. Watch Darker than Black. It's really good, I tell you.

U hate the spoiled bratty ones. It is so hard to resist the urge4 to yell at them.

The best part was when this on father, who scared me a little when he walked in and out, started to do the awwing. He glared at me for a moment, saw his s on on stage, and gave a sigh of bliss.

P.S. Really? I'll add that to my list of things to finish this weekend month
